During the time of the ninth head priest of this temple, Koteiin Nichikyo, a great epidemic broke out in Edo and other areas. Nichikyo sensed a single talisman to save people, and he administered it to the sick. Those who received the talisman miraculously recovered. Since then, it has been passed down to the present day, and its miraculous powers are remarkable, saving countless people.
The talisman shown on the right will be given to those who receive the sutra on Koshin day.

Katamori (helmet guardian)
Kada-mamori is a helmet-shaped charm that means "adding good fortune." There is an auspicious direction called "Eho" that varies depending on the year, and it is said that if you point the head of Kada-mamori in that direction, good fortune will be brought from that direction.
