For those coming by public transportation

Shibamata Taishakuten Train Information
  • Get off at Shibamata Station on the Keisei Line. 3 minutes walk.

  • 12 minutes walk from Shin-Shibamata Station on the Hokuso Kodan Line.

  • From JR Koiwa Station, take the Keisei Bus (bound for Kanamachi) for about 15 minutes and get off at Shibamata Taishakuten.

  • From JR Kanamachi Station, take the Keisei Bus (bound for Koiwa) for about 5 minutes and get off at Shibamata Taishakuten.

  • Exit Shibamata Station. Once you exit the ticket gate, you will come out into the square in front of the station. You will see a bronze statue of Tora-san right in front of you, and a bronze statue of Sakura across from it.

  • With your back to the Tora-san statue, walk straight ahead along the approach to the shrine. This road is called "Taishakuten Sando" and is lined with souvenir shops and restaurants that exude an old-fashioned atmosphere.

  • Continue along the approach to the shrine. On both sides of the approach there are shops selling dumplings, tempura, river fish dishes, and souvenirs, so you can enjoy the tourist atmosphere as you walk along.

  • Arriving at the entrance to Shibamata Taishakuten At the end of the approach, you will see the imposing Sanmon gate of Shibamata Taishakuten. Passing through this gate, you will enter the grounds of Shibamata Taishakuten Daikyoji Temple.

For those coming by car

From Kuramae Street or Mito Kaido, enter Shibamata Kaido and head towards the Edogawa riverbed at the Shibamata Taishakuten intersection.

About using the parking lot

This parking lot was built exclusively for the kindergarten attached to Taishakuten Temple, so if there are any events being held by Taishakuten Temple or the kindergarten, priority will be given to their use.

Business hours: 9:00-17:00 *If you arrive before 9:00, you will not be able to enter the parking lot.
*The parking lot will be completely locked after 5pm, so you will not be able to leave until the next morning.
In this case, you will be charged parking fees including overnight parking.

Please refrain from waiting in our parking lot as this will obstruct traffic.
