This is a paper-cut red seal called "Karajishi (Chinese lion)."
 Since ancient times, the lion has been a symbol of protection from evil spirits.
 It is also carved at this temple to represent Taishakuten's power to subdue demons.

 This special red seal features a seasonal theme selected from the sculptures at the temple, which has long been known as the "Temple of Sculpture."
